What You Need to Know Before You Go Green:

Alternative Fuel Vehicles

Public buses and the organizations that operate them are going green through the use of alternative fuels that leave a low to zero emission footprint on the environment. Is your organization going green or planning to become green?

Please attend an important discussion led by two bus transit

leaders in Connecticut who have experienced the good and

sometimes not so good of going green. The presentation

will include actual operating experience with New England’s

first zero emission hydrogen fuel cell bus. more information is available here

On February 28th, 2007  the Connecticut Association for Community Transportation (CACT) along with the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) hosted a legislative breakfast in the
Old Judiciary Committee Room at the State Capital Building.

The event was well attended. Senator Donald J Defronzo and Representative Antonio Guerrera, Co-Chairs of the State's Transportation Committee were on hand to speak and listen to the presentations from WTS, CACT and others.

Gloria Mills Executive Director for CACT gave a presentation on Connecticut’s Economic Future: Investment in Public Bus Services. A copy of the PowerPoint presentation is available here

and a copy of the full report Connecticut’s Economic Future: Investment in Public Bus Services. is available here

Once again this annual breakfast was a huge success and we thank everyone who helped to make this event possible.
